2007 is just about wrapped up. Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it, and Happy Holidays to all. Thank you for everything you’ve given to us and for making TechCrunch the best job I’ve ever had (most of the time).
And many happy returns:
May you raise capital and add to the prosperity of the Valley and the Nation:
But If that can’t be, take all you can from the VC world and hire friends, family, and associates!
If you can’t make it pay, ultimately, sell the assets for a song! And with that song in your heart, sing, sing for the Valley!
Start another social network, a new video sharing site, another IM clone, and a new unresponsive office application.
Get bought, buy more stuff.
Make everything personal. Make nothing that serves a critical need.
Be kind to new ideas. Don’t smash the vertical market evangelists over the head at every pitch event.
Be nice, dammit.
Happy Holidays as well to you. Congrats on making Techcrunch a good blog to read, some of the time…
Well said, Michael. In China these days, it almost feels as much like Christmas as it does back home in the States. (Not quite, but getting there.)
Happy Holidays guys.
Keep up the good work!!
And many Happy returns !
Thank You for making my afternoons !
Merry Christmas!!!
Looking forward to lots of good reporting from TechCrunch in 2008. Cheers!
Mike, and thank you for “putting yourself out there” for everyone. Keeping a blog going is a tough, personal business. I’ve learned a lot from reading this. Here’s to a great 2008!
Happy Holidays to all
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you as well. And thanks for providing something that takes up a small chunk of my day, informing me mostly, enabling me to waste time as well.
A very merry and blessed Christmas for you and those you love.
Merry Christmas back at you and thanks! But…
WTF is with this need for people to feel like they have to say “to everyone who celebrates it”? First, some 97% of the U.S. celebrates Christmas whether it be hardcore Evangelicals or atheists who could care less about the ‘reason for the season’ stuff. Second, what non christmas celebrator would have a stick so far up there ass they might be ‘offended’ by someone wishing them a Merry Christmas? One would have to have serious emotional issues, I mean, c’mon man… If I happened to be in Israel on Hanukkah and everyone was wishing me a happy Hanukah –although I do not celebrate it- I’d be like, “Yeah! Awesome! Thank you and happy Hanukkah to you as well!”.
So for people to feel they need to preface a ‘Merry Christmas’ with a ‘for those that celebrate it’ for fear that some fool who goes home and kicks his cat anyway might get offended, is laughable.
So to the whole world I say MERRY CHRISTMAS! And for those who have an issue with that –GET A LIFE!!!
Merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone and thanks to all the TC team..
@ keef: Hahaha …I agree with you 100%. Anyone being offended because of someone wishing them “Merry Christmas” must really have issues!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and all readers

Merry Christmas…Love, Joy, Peace and Happiness to all thanks to God sending His Son.
행복한 성탄절 되세요!
Merry Christmas =D
Mike, thank you for this big year! Busy year for everybody and TechCrunch too, as we can witness. But in big crowdy world to know right things on time matters. That’s why (I only now realized that) there were two things I was starting my every morning with: checking mail and ‘checking’ TechCrunch.
Congratulations from me and my team!
Happy Holidays Michael, and congratulations you have a admirable job.
I agree - Merry Christmas is enough, no need to add “to everyone who celebrates it”? We are getting tooooooooooo politically correct that we become so mellow and numb.
- someone who does not “celebrate” it but who cherishes it in this country.
Forgot to add..
I am noticing this change only this year… what is going on?
To see me dressed up as Santa-Ballmer:

Happy Christmas to all at Techcrunch too. Thanks for a great year of covering web 2.0 and the internet sector in general.
Ball up to a new year and merrier than Christmas for the new Christmas 2.0 ~!
Merry Christmas! But not too merry because we want y’all to keep posting throughout the holidays. It’s a wonderful but incredible boring time of year.
to all you guys who think “merry christmas” is universal - it’s not. i’m glad mike qualified it like that.
christians are such little pussies when they aren’t front and center all the time.
in fact, it’s CHRISTIANS who raise such a stink when wal-mart hangs a sign that says “Happy Holidays” instead of “merry christmas” in their stores. so, keef, the people with the sticks up their ass are christians themselves. even though they’re a huge majority they cry like little babies when people recognize or try to be inclusive of any of the minorities (be it immigrants/gays/other religions, whatever).
Holidays Holidays Holidays
Love this Part of The year.
“Merry Christmas”
Michael, we should thank you for the entertainment with that screwy lawyer a few months back. The stronghold that you can put against these lawyers, screwy or not, is an inspiration for anyone in the biz.
@ asshat: you’re offended? WOW … that stick must really be far up your ass!!! Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone
Feeling fat now, but no doubt will feel fatter before Friday when we fly out to LA for a holiday.
asshat-
1.your username is fitting.
2. i feel bad for your cat.
3. in the words of Jim Carrey -I hope you had a CHRISTY, CHRISTY, CHRISTY Christmas.
Thank you for your researh. I like how you signed off, ” Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it, and Happy Holidays to all”. What I find amusing about all of the political correctness is that the word holiday comes from Holy Days.
Merry Christmas Michael! Everything that TechCrunch has become is 100% due to your efforts and dedication. Congratulations! Adriana
