We are very excited about the new Magnify/ClipSyndicate partnership. It brings depth to the content offering available to the audience far beyond the reach of YouTube alone or in combination with Google and in a much more timely manner. And yes, to answer an earlier comment, new content may be found on Magnify that doesn't exist elsewhere.

Magnify allows publishers to customize their platforms. If you visit the link you will see where the same "awful" (but functional) design has been equally applied across the board for all the candidate's sites. They are place holders where candidates may customize their own Election 08 page. http://election08.policlicks.com

We've been working with Magnify for about a year now and are more than pleased with the value they bring to our business.

This is good news to me - I've been using Magnify since for a couple of sites for over a year and been impressed by the advances with the interface.

I typically focus on mostly my own video content there, but will definitely tap into the "real" news sources, too.

While I like magnify's approach with building a video community. I was not too excited about it's implementation. That was about 8 months ago and magnify could have fixed some of their issues (I did not brother to check). Instead I spent 6 months of my free time to create a video bookmarking service that doubles as a video gallery service (myvidster.com). This was done with no VC money and i used it to create a video community around salsa dancing for my hometown Indianapolis which work our really well. Check it would at http://www.myvidster.com/salsaindy

I'm not sure how this is sustainable as a company, long-term. I mean, taking other people's content and leveraging it to create communities? That's what half the internet is about, and there are already enough sites, big and small, that are doing that.

why is this newsworthy? is 12 million page views impressive for a company that's been around for 2.5 years? or is duncan friends with the CEO of magnify? my guess is that it's the latter...
