Flickr Adds Stats To Photo Pro Accounts

Flickr has provided an attractive place to show off your photos and get constructive feedback from the community. However, their advanced comment and tagging system leaves out the vast number of people that simply peruse the site. But today Flickr unlocked those stats for Pro users.
Earlier this year Flickr whetted our appetite for stats when they released numbers on what kinds of cameras are used on the site. The stats are like Google Analytics for your photos. They track page views and visitors across each of your photos and go all the way back to the start of your pro account (or at least 28 days back if you upgrade from a free account).
The numbers are updated daily and don’t count views you make yourself or that are from embedded versions of your images around the web. Referrals are only listed for the past couple of weeks. For search engine referrals, stats will show what people searched for to find your pictures.

ah cool, that’s so awesome.
Very Nice hope flickr will love me 2
I guess bloggers say I am cute.LoL
Flickr is the best Yahoo! property!
Just activated mine, this is great! one of the things i love to do is ‘add to favorite’ the photo’s i love, then dig further and see what the authors favorites are.
now they can track me and get back to me, maybe repeat the cycle. great work! Nice update
FLICKR is like stealing songs from user or pirating images own by poor rating stockholders.
I love that they are honest about only crunching numbers for those who ask! Why waste resources for something that many people may not use…
Flickr should change “.com” to organzation company “.org”.
1. You don’t pay user fee
2. You don’t own people’s image rights
3. Flickr is Corporate slacking company.
I hope another pay image startup destorys you.
I’m loving the obviously poorly thought-out anti-flickr comments. Awesome.
I CAN DESTORY FLICKR! I haev a user fee and am .ORG!
Use MSPhotoNet.com instead!
this is really awesome, a great feature.
There not exactly quick about it, and you have to turn it on for it to work, it’s not automatically there. I got a under construction animated gif and the following message
Zooomr had these features over two years ago! Zoooomr FTW!
@Duncan, a TC editor(?) and contributor, What an egregiously ungrammatical sentence!
oh but otherwise, everyone, great work
Flickr has also rolled out v3.0 of the Flickr Uploadr (Introducing the all-new Flickr Uploadr 3.0)

& this stats feature is a great add on!
Cheers!
Duncan, I got the same message when i activated it.
5 minutes later i was back on flickr and it was all there.
… got to give them to flickr for having fun at the expense of web2 designers:
It takes a day for the stats account to be activated (it did for me), and in the meantime; you get the _cheesiest_ “under construction” gifs when you head to the stats page. Straight out of 1997! … real funny flickr. real funny.

Duncan-san,
They say they arent quick about it, but mine were up and running within about 15 minutes of activation.

Nice. We created a “light” version of the same thing for our users… early last year. Way to keep “innovating” Flickr!
I agree MSPhotonet.com is more than comparable!

Great update! As usual…
@ TechCrunch Readers
You guys are happy because Flickr has added these features in Pro accounts. A new start-up company is lauching in January. Co-founded by me and my friend. It will include these features of Flickr plus features you have never seen before …. All for FREE !
In other news - Flickr’s VP of innovation bought a new shaving cream. Don’t you guys have anything else to write about?
Incorrect usage of the word “peruse”
Stats are an awesome improvement to flickr!
You haters suck. FlickR rules, and this is a good feature. It actually cycles through old “1997″ (more like 1995!) “Under Construction” images, which is pretty funny.
