On Friday, RockYou took over the top spot on Facebook’s list of applications with the most active users. The application, called Super Wall, overtook Slide’s FunWall. Slide still has the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 Facebook apps, while RockYou only has one other app in the top ten (X Me, at No. 5). The top apps are still ruled by a few dominant names.
In a press release touting that it is now better than Slide, RockYou also claims to run the biggest ad network on Facebook. But it is unclear how many of these ads are circular links to other apps. There is a lot of funny money on Facebook. Rock on.

more feces buk news. it doesnt end.
way to go, lance and jia!
That’s just so awesome! The world is such a better place now that we’ve finally conquered the need for people to “write” on virtual walls! Someone alert those nerds over at Sweden, there should be Nobel nominations all around! A company that makes inconsequential toys for a social network has managed to get the top spot! OMG!
HOT TOPIC!!
Word on the street is that any day now the Internet will have more market share than Facebook.
reminds me of the song…”we will we will Rock you!”
did Facebook use its millions to buy TC? I mean really I don’t think there is a DAY where there isn’t a TC article.
the comments rock (better than the post!)
#8 “the comments rock (better than the post!)” - don’t be surprised, this is web 2.0.
HOW IRONIC.
Both Facebook and RockYou has a similar past - in that former “employers” claim that the founders stole their technology from them.
Most interesting to me is the general theme of the top Facebook apps.
Rock me Amadeus!!!
More Facebook news!!!
Is there something better about rockyou’s app than slide’s app?
FaceBook is working out well, maybe this is not all a fad.

and the internet continues to get dumber, these are the days of lame facebook apps
Apparently, Rockyou recently began a spamming strategy on Facebook, sending face emails to people who have never been users of their apps, claiming someone just messaged you via their app. You need to install their app in order to view the “message”. I wonder if that is what took them to the top. Sad.
@17: Exactly. I reported this as spam the other day… they’re taking advantage of their user base on other apps to trick people into installing SuperWall, essentially. The practice really bothers me and I hope Facebook does something about it.

of couse you hope that “Facebook will do something about it”, because your app is not as successfull.
