Google’s Streetview was celebrated at launch, but caught some flack when they were captured the public in some embarrassing situations.
Google’s hoping to avoid similar issues when they complete their launch overseas. According to Google’s senior privacy council, Google will begin altering photos to make sure that faces and license plate numbers aren’t recognizable. The move’s more aggressive than how unflattering photos or personal information are being handled in the U.S., where users have to write in for image take downs. But if it’s embarrassing enough, chances are it’s already been plastered all over the internet.

i hate those whaletail underwear fashion – doesn’t look sexy in the least bit, if anything…just skanky
Looks really uncomfortable!
Jeeezzz…..
We have no more privacity in this world?????
A little airbrushing is okay, I think. I have seen some pretty weird stuff just by browsing my neighborhood. Mostly confused people, but I’m not sure they want to be on google maps…
Personally, I think it’s the right thing and it possibly should have done been before now. As funny as some of the situations are, I’ve seen too many people be completely humiliated in front of 10s of 1000s of people through sites like Digg and YouTube.
No, what Google’s done with Streetview is not illegal but i think that it’s potentially immoral.

run….
I saw number of young people jump into bushes as Google van approaches. Lot of Americans are doing it. They jump, run, hide themselves. If I ever walk down street and saw camera van. I would run and hide bushes.
Let there be g-strings!
poor lady…[chuckles]
next time better wear a boxer=p

Common sense. Never wear that underwear.
Really… Who drives white pickup truck and wears thin line underwear?
Hooker or gold digger or slut or housewife looking for cheater or looking for IBM job?

Talk about a wedgy!

Rather than jump in the bushes, it’d be more fun to try pacing the van on a bike.
Google has put the privacy of everybody on stake for the sake of earning money.. how much do they really want to earn and where do they want to go..
Will that replace the CCTV cameras?
Let me seeeee that thong tha-thong thong thong…
Is the person a Guy or Gal :O ?
Could have atleast photo’d a hot chick in a thong.
