Happy Thanksgiving!
It was almost a year ago exactly that Steve Gillmor left Podshow and the technology focused Gillmor Gang podcast shut down (the last show was recorded the day before Thanksgiving).
Steve recently brought the group back together, and we’ve recorded four or five shows so far. He’s created a Facebook group to host the podcast files, and the RSS feed is here.
There are a handful of people that are invited to participate every week. Some make it every time, others only occasionally (I’m on about 80% of the shows). There’s good commentary from a variety of journalists and bloggers about current tech events, and usually one or two good emotional rants as well. If you were a fan of the Gang in previous years, you’ll recognize it as vintage Gillmor (meaning no editing). See you there.

Kudos to Steve for not editing out the “unpleasant” bits! Kinda weird hearing everyone like they’re in an echo chamber though, although the fidelity is a bit better than the briefly-available Calacanis version on the previous episode.

I’m really glad it’s back online, Mike. Your contributions have been great. I’ve listened to everything that’s rolled down the RSS feed. What I like about it is the mix of opinions. It is certainly not a nodding head show.
Great seeing you in Boston last week, especially at the afterparty thing briefly. How are you enjoying that Flip ? Do you recommend it?

Sound good they are back.
The Gillmor Gang? Those people filled my several-hour car commutes across Europe with Silicon Valley insight and emotion – until it all went quiet with last year’s Thanksgiving show …
