Normally you don’t demonstrate absurdity as a business but I can see your point.

@ChrisR: Read up on Pat Phelan before you criticize his business model. The guy’s just trying to make calling abroad more affordable while at the same time, demonstrating the absurdity of the telecom laws in the US.

I’m grateful that both Yak4Ever and MaxRoam spotlight the very cushy profits made in the international calling and roaming markets. And I think it’s quite handy–as well as being very inexpensive–to use multiple personal numbers on a MaxRoam handset.

I just checked the rates on cubic, and I gotta tell you, they are not so great for the countries that I might roam to and call to to USA from. AT&T has a a $3.00 month plan that is maybe a penny or two less for EU and Israel roaming!

The founder should partner with me and integrate what’s left into our search results, like skype. He probably doesn’t read TechCrunch though. BTW, that’s not an offer to buy, it’s an offer to partner for commission.
