My idea:
I would like an application which lets me easily tweak the entire UI of the phone. Once installed this application would be tied to the OS and give me full control (icons placement, application shortcuts, themes, commands...)
This application would also install AIGLX (aka beryl aka Compiz) on my phone to add nice 3D effects and virtual desktops (ok let's call virtual screens!)
I believe such an application would be extremely popular, because highly flexible

Here's my entry: http://www.crunchgear.com/bff/?p=99

My idea is the Gphone Proximity Detector. An application on your Gphone (utilizing Google Maps and GPS/triangulation with a little Wi-Fi thrown in) to map you and your friends, with real-time location updates.

My idea, please vote at http://www.crunchgear.com/bff/?p=96

If you tend to run late for school, work, meetings, divorce court, congressional hearings, etc, this is the only app you need to save your life: The Hyperlocal Excuse Generator. The premise is simple: You are running late, and know that another one of your lousy canned excuses (ie, “my car exploded”) isn’t going to work this time. Simply open the application on your brand new Android-enabled communicator and enter two addresses, your house and your final destination. The system will pull vast amount of public information based on your route, including traffic data, weather information, public transportation delay notices, and (here’s the clincher) user-submitted “good samaritan” backups to give you an arsenal of perfectly reasonable excuses for why you are late for your fifth summons for public urination. And for those rare days when you somehow arrive on time (nobody has to know that you passed out in your office in a drunken stupor yesterday afternoon and just now woke up), help others by submitting your own “good samaritan” backup, which will automatically email a fellow slacker a backup email thanking them for “giving CPR to your 90-year-old grandmother this morning after she collapsed on the side walk next to your building this morning,” and that you “look forward to bringing in massive business to *insert users company name* in the near future”.

Hey, everyone could use a little backup once in a while.

Google: saving your ass for the third time this week.
