If selected to go to the NewTeeVee conference next week, I think what I (as well as everyone attending) will get is a great opportunity to meet, greet, and connect friends and contacts old and new, to learn about NewTeeVee related issues from some of the emerging industry's leading experts, to research and share information on hot projects, and to generally contribute positively to the event.

Hope to see you there. :-) It should be a great conference.

I’m a student in IT, in Paris XI university, and unfortunately i can’t afford the price of the ticket (i’ve tried many things to perform it without success, including mailing Loic… :-) ), but i’m very interesting in web 2.0 revolution, in technologies of course, but most of all on its impact of the world dealing with information.

I'm planning to make my thesis in the enterprise dealing with Web 2.0, a subject which i like so i'm very interested in sharing things about it and i could learn a lot on this event.

For me LeWeb3 conference deals with the true revolution, when seeing the subject as a revolution in behavior for the people, a new step in democraty, and i want to be there to share on this and make this world more aware of its voice and capability !

I've been posting many things on the subject on my blog, just check it out, i'm really in.

I would learn what my peers are doing (or should be doing). I'm a small business owner of non-tech products. Posting demos on YouTube was great for buzz... but there must be more. Thanks!

Quick update...

Our original plan was to keep our company in stealth mode until the site goes live on the 19th.

Well, there is a change in plan. After a long discussion with my co-founder, I've decided to officially introduce our company to the world at NewTeeVee Live, if given the opportunity to attend.

To be clear, the site is still scheduled to go live on the 19th; but I'm going to release the company name at the event, and will provide first details to many attendees, not just potentially strategic ones.

It's a big change, but one that makes total sense. Like I said before, the timing is impeccable!

Hi Guys,

No brilliant start-up, fancy degree or secret agendas here. Just a quiet recent college grad working in Silicon Valley who finds video on the Internet incredibly interesting and amazingly exciting. This would be a great opportunity for me to venture out of my shell and start learning about a field I know very little about but find greatly compelling.

Thank you so much for the opportunity.

Well its been 3 years since attending streaming media west and partnering with one of their partners to build and launch a web video site http://eq.tv that blends the worlds of live webcasting, in house original productions and archiving and UGC while working in the mega niche where music culture meets eco/green culture. We have tried just about everything. We partnered with this not to be named company that has been in streaming media forever (ie since the 90's...), and when the east coast west coast, old view new view clashed we successfully ended that realtionship, and tried our hand at in house development with genius anti social developers who had total disdain for everybody else's corporate solutions and said he could build it better and prettier and function higher, he/we were well on our way, he had slick add to playlist functionality, with playable , scrolling thumbs well before youtube or many others had it...but then like most freelance developers go...he dissapeared?! really for weeks....we sucked it up and began looking for a west coast team that we could pay to build us our vision, had similiar values, even open source as a core, and would leave us off with a system we could manage and mold over time...well this third time out in as many years proved to be more functionality desired then could be delivered and as the arena and world grew up around us of webvideo, widgets, ad models, ip tv merge, yatta yatta we looked around and said forget raising $10-20-30 million and running the race against other who are better funded and have chosen better partners and developers, lets look at who is doing it right and learn to excel at integration of existing platforms thus forming our own platform where we can successfully focus on what we know the most about which is making original content and bringing together communities of individuals, orgs and biz to answer our mission which is to use entertainment as fuel for a rapid transition to sustainabilty. I would love it if we could attend the conference to help us make better decisions for the future of our live and archived video platforms, and potentially personally meet those who we would essentially be partnering with. Just think of it this way... after 3 long years it would be like a little pat on the back saying hey thanx for running the race, keep it up, its fun, maybe you can have a good time, make alot of money and do a good thing for the planet!

ps. here are some of the platforms and services we have integrated...(ning, brightcove, mogulus, on2, limelight, drupal, sony anycast, goodbarry, job thread, meebo, chipin, and more...)

Hi Michael and Om,

We would love conference tickets. We are creating the first internet game show network, PlayCafe (www.playcafe.com). We stream live game shows that let everyone be a contestant.

We usually don't like conferences but this one could be a huge boost. It could let us learn from industry veterans and form potential partnerships to seed our network. It is very relevant and could be a huge boost.

Thanks!

I work at Stanford University and am coordinating a few different online video efforts. We're very interested in using video to better share the university's findings and discoveries with a wider audience. For example, how can the Woods Institute for the Environment best produce and distribute video to help people make more sustainable choices? How can the School of Education use video to help K-12 teachers and administrators be more effective? How can the Institute for Stem Cell Research use online video to help educate policy makers about the science and ethics of stem cell research?

We're trying to learn as much as we can about the technical aspects of video production and distribution, as well as best practices for compelling content. Based on the conference agenda, it seems like NewTeeVee would provide a great jump start to our efforts. Because we also collaborate closely with other universities (e.g. Harvard, MIT, etc.), there would be additional leverage for our participation as we share our learnings with our colleagues at other institutions. Finally, I would love the chance to network with others at the conference, to see if there's any way to partner on educational outreach.

Thanks! Ian

Michael,

I'm a Berkeley grad student trying to start a company working with online video. I haven't raised any money yet, but I've been working on my idea for nearly a year. Anyway, I have some cool new technology for online video and I'm looking for potential partnership opportunities. I'd love to run my ideas past some people who really know the space to decide the best path for me. This would be a new experience for me because I haven't been to a conference related to the web before.

Hi, I've been eager to go to this event from the moment I read about it. To be honest, this event can really make or break us. We are video content providers and looking to network. We are socially responsible and donate 20% of all our profits to charities.

Please let me know.

Hi Mike & Om!

We make exciting video shows that star the audience. Our site is scheduled to go live on the 19th, so the timing is impeccable.

You should know that our company is a bit of a rebel. It has multiple revenue models, barriers to entry, and a flexible but long-term growth plan. We are in stealth mode, but I am willing to privately give a sneak peek and provide more details. Under embargo, of course. ;)

Anyways, I dropped out of USC to start the company, and so far it has been entirely financed through debt.

If given the opportunity to go, I will be on the lookout for investors that make a good fit, as well as strategic partners. There are specific attendees that I plan to discuss opportunities with, and NewTeeVee Live will provide the perfect setting to contact them.

Of course, there is also the stellar cast of speakers! I am especially interested in the "Cash for Content?" segment, and in particular, Dennis Miller's take.

The bottom line is that this event will be the best, most efficient way to kick-start our company's initiatives.

Thank you for your time!

Of course, there is also the stellar cast of speakers! I am especially interested in the “Cash for Content?” segment, and in particular, Dennis Miller’s take.

The bottom line is that this event will be the best, most efficient way to kick-start our company’s initiatives.

Thank you for your time!

David

As a provider of a live and on-demand TV quality broadcasting service for corporations and institutions, Veodia is at the epicenter of what is newteeveee.

From attending the conference I expect to learn more about where the industry is headed which may in turn influence our path in the future.

Michael,

Going to this event could be a breakthrough for our company. We are the creators of a live online television network that started in July. The goal of the network is to run a giant statistical test on the lottery, have fun, and win money for charity(over $1,500 already raised). Unfortunately, I spent our conference budget on attending TC40. That conference was certainly worth the expense--we got an angel out of it, a business partner, and dozens of contacts who I've been able to help with some of their startups. I know in the long run NewTeeVee could be just as meaningful, but we've got to make our seed round last a year and so we have to pass on some great investments such as this. I'm very interested in talking to some of the innovators who will be there, particularly from Mogulus, VideoEgg, Akamai, Ning.

Thanks for the consideration!

NewTeeVee - always HD quality content from Om - that's what I will get out of this event. It will also help my startup connect with potential partners in video space.

Once we get funded we will be able to afford Techcrunch 20, NewTeeVee Live and Le Web.

Thanks.

My co-founder I are very recent grads working starting a video technology startup that utterly depends on this market. Attending the conference to improve our understanding of the market and to network with be invaluable to our success. We're very close to funding but burning through savings for the time being so the hook up would be much appreciated.

Thanks
