I was wondering if people would be willing to pay a good amount for software which would dump their own wordpress SQL DB into Techcrunch BFF via TCP HTTP POSTs to the wordpress installed at techcrunch.com.
Sort of a plugin that would allow a user to dump all posts from their word press blog as new posts into the BFF blog, or it would allow them to check input boxes next to the posts they want to syndicate into techcrunch BFF.
That way they wouldn’t have to write any new posts, and could essentially syndicate their entire old ass blog catalog into the techcrunch BFF word press DB, thus raising their Google page rank and SEO.
If you still don’t understand pull a IT guy aside and ask him to give you an executive summary. If there’s a market for it, people will make it. I’m not saying I would ever have something like that coded for free.
By techcrunch I of course mean crunchgear as well.

I am not writing this, I am trying to see if people will pay for it. Basically, it would repost 1 or more old blog posts to Crunchgear BFF per day, as new content. Nobody will check and nobody will be worse off for it. It wouldn’t be a brute force posting of 5000 at a time. It would be gated and metered as not to piss people off.
With the higher page rank that the Crunch network gets, the blog posts would ultimately improve your own SEO dramatically. I of course wouldn’t have a single function or variable named without buyers. Since everybody would be using it from their own machine, it would be impossible to easily stop, if at all.
That’s all. See, it’s not that bad. Actually it would produce more content for everybody, and more importantly, it would make us money. Again, this is just to see if anybody wants it and would pay a couple hundred at least.

well, when it comes to forums i would say that techcrunch forums were not that success. i visited it few days ago for something and saw a complete out of control mess forums.
many pirate service offers, not moderated properly. a lot of spam.
