MAn that is a super cool feature that they added one. This will definitely get more people to check out stumble upon. I just wonder how google and others look at it as they are overlaying and potentially modifying the on page content.

agree...super cool feature.

But does anyone know if there are any legal/copyright issues with modifying the way another company's pages are rendered for a user?

i understand that the stumbleupon feature is an overlay, but it potentially modifies user behavior on the site as well. So you can imagine that as stumbleupon continues upgrading the overlay features, there may be some behavior mods that start negatively impacting the companies whose search results are being used...

...and just for context sake...im only asking out of curiosity / educational purposes. I personally dont have an agenda to push either way

"Camp seems more excited about future integration with Skype, which is another eBay-owned client download that sits on many more desktops than StumbleUpon."

I'm pretty excited about Skype, too!

The weird thing is, all of this furious industry by Skype and StumbleUpon might work to actively exclude eBay content.

That said, would eBay really care so long as they're making money?

"But another added benefit of doing something with Skype would be the ability to import your Skype contacts into StumbleUpon so that you can automatically start sharing with any Skype contact who also happen to be a Stumbler."

There's also the chance to consolidate the contacts you already have.

How many times do we join a service and find out only months afterwards that someone we've known for an age is already there?

Ooo look it's the StumbleUpon guy - LoL (TC40 humor)

StumbleUpon search for me provides better and more relevant search results then Google.

Maybe they will transform into a full fledge social search engine? Just get FireFox to agree to make it the default or one of the default built in search engines!

Yeah, it's quite cool. It's been at least an option for a while and it's interesting to see that just because things are at the top of the page of search results it doesn't mean they have the best content.

Stumbled on this btw =]
