It’s time for another TechCrunch party (my first as co-editor). This time we’re taking TechCrunch on the road and hosting our first meet-up in Boston with the help of the IDG Ventures Boston. Like our recent event in Silicon Valley, we expect this to be a great networking event and a ton of fun.

The first 250 tickets will become available through EventBrite today. Since we have limited capacity of 700 attendees, we’re asking a $10 cover charge to help manage the attendee list and minimize no-shows. As usual, ticket fees will be donated to charity. Attendee identification will be checked at the door.

There are also a number of sponsorship opportunities for the party and great space for start-ups to demo their new products. If you are interested in supporting the event, please contact Jeanne Logozzo.

Michael, Heather and I look forward to seeing you there.

  14. Andrew

Sold out already? I hope that refers to the first 250 tickets, rather than to the whole 700. Anyway, I’m glad you’re coming to Boston.

  18. Thinker

  19. Tuline

  21. Mike Volpe

Sold Out! Looks like I will have to hope I get some in the next round. It is too bad you did not partner with my PR firm or VC, would have made it easier to get tix. :(

  22. Mike

Looking forward to the party in Philly! Oh wait, are you coming to Philly?

  23. Eric

The tickets got sold out pretty quickly :)

  24. August

    Hey Erick…

    Take this Good Advice.
Make sure Mike doesn’t take Steve Job’s rainbow drugs & beer….
Be careful with Mike forceful moves. He will make you drink or do druggie.

If mike got drunk after party…..
Don’t forget to clip his head and say “give me damn car key!!!”

  25. John

    Toronto please!

  26. RBL

One word: Philadelphia. We crunch tech with the best of them.

  27. Steven Bao

I will be there, once tickets are available again :)

  28. Andrew

the one day i don’t read TC in the AM.

  29. Ville

It would have been really nice to know in advance that this was happening and been able to plan ahead to be around to buy a ticket when they went on sale.

I don’t read techcrunch first thing in the morning everyday and by the time I read it tickets were sold out.

I noticed that the post said the first 250 tickets.. does this mean there will be more?

If so I would kindly request perhaps a tad more notice about when they will go on sale so I might actually have a chance to buy a ticket and not have to rely on being lucky enough to read TC at the right time of day.

  30. Michael

Does anyone want to sell their tickets? I know more will be available in 2 weeks just dont want to miss out on that sale also

  31. Steven Roussey

    Hey, come to SoCal!

  32. Dave Lo

More tickets please or at least advanced warning that they will be available. I went to buy the minute I got my TechCrunch daily digest and it was already sold out!

  33. devicespy

Well, since it is sold out, maybe it is time to get some space and have a party for those not able to get it. We could get another VC firm to sponsor. What do you think?

  34. devicespy

In fact, we should call the event “SideCrunch Boston”…for loosers who didn’t have a chance to sign up.

  35. startupflames.com

wtf, they are already sold out

  36. slong

I noticed that the post said the first 250 tickets.. does this mean there will be more?

  37. Julia Roy

I can’t wait to attend this event!
