Yepp.
We got blogspot in exchange of youtube.

That redirecting things seems to be fixed.

As a desparate Chinese student wanting to broaden horizons, I really really can't stand all the blocking anymore.
*freaks out*

The point of my post was that we don't jump to conclusions without more conclusive information, especially when there are a myriad of entirely reasonable and logical possibilities in addition to "evil schemes."

#20 (Serge) has already given a plausible explanation of how Baidu's commercially motivated partnerships have given it additional windows of opportunities vis-a-vis Google. And kudos to Baidu for milking it in true capitalist fashion.
I am almost assuming that the bulk of the comments here are from people who have never set foot in China, so you do have to realize how capitalist China actually is.
Instead every China development or news is couched with the obligatory conspiratory smear as whenever one of us who actually resides in China tries to write a differing viewpoint, there is the inevitable accusation of at least one such person of being a government official or a plant. (scan through the comments list here for confirmation) It's almost as if that the only comments allowed out of China residents has to be radical.
It's far from perfect here, but let's have a sense of perspective and base comments on the ones who are having real life experiences in China like #20

#20 (Serge) has already given a plausible explanation of how Baidu’s commercially motivated partnerships have given it additional windows of opportunities vis-a-vis Google.
(scan through the comments list here for confirmation) It’s almost as if that the only comments allowed out of China residents has to be radical.
It’s far from perfect here, but let’s have a sense of perspective and base comments on the ones who are having real life experiences in China like #20
