The three firms, along with a new investor, DAG Ventures have poured another $9 million into broadband video advertising company YuMe. This brings their total financing to $16 million and makes them a well funded contender in the realm of video advertising. VideoEgg is one of the largest, with about $34 million over four rounds. We have a roundup of other video advertising technologies here.

YuMe is a broadband video advertising network that lets publishers pair video ads with their video content. Their technology enables publishers to organize their video content into categories and serve video ads by those categories. The ads are also included with the video as it’s syndicated on other sites. All distribution is monitored through their analytics package, which also allows geographical targeting down to the zip code. YuMe currently supports video on the web, downloads, mobile and IPTV. Some of their clients include HouseValues.com, True.com, Southwest Media Group, MSN Video, BitTorrent, Azureus, and Pando.
