DR PETER TEIMAN FRANKLIN here,
One wonders if Rayv is producing the technology to ultimately compete with Youtube.

It's different because I was receiving UDP data from *30* different hosts, and the video w-as-st-ill-jit--t-ery. Literally unwatchable.

There were 4 main hosts that were trying to get data to me, and I was on a 100Mbit direct MAEWest connection. Still, didn't work.

RayV.exe was 36MB, using 20-60% of the CPU.

It's nice to have it appear "in" the browser, but there are plenty of other (working) options to choose from in this space.

Accel ain't dumb, though, so there's likely some good angle here.

Other Israeli startups doing it:
www.tvdotv.com “P2P software for live video streaming allowing live TV broadcasts to be received from other peers instead of a centralized server.”

www.koala-te.com

and

possibly www.boxee.tv

Obviously an important area.

Darn it, I got the word press filter treatment, Let me try again
#################################################

“While the company has been in stealth mode”
google.com/search?q=site%3ARayV.com

The google bot doesn’t play stealth mode. You can download the beta client here.
update.rayv.com/viewer/getnewestversion/setup

I of course am running Linux at work, so I have no idea if it works. For one thing, the windows only .exe is a very bad sign for the digg nation of users. It screams legacy!
