I'm supposed to keep my 42" TV on constantly so I can listen to music? Seems like awfully big hammer for such a small nail. Call me crazy, but Tivo should focusing on what they do well - delivering video. If I could play YouTube video's on my Tivo, I'd get 10x the value of all their other network services combined. Call me crazy, but Tivo should focusing on what they do well – delivering video. If I could play YouTube video’s on my Tivo, I’d get 10x the value of all their other network services combined.

This will cost 126 bucks per year and doesnt seem to offer much more to us users. I can currently stream music from my computer through the Tivo and my home stereo for free. I wish they would of looked at a partnership deal with Pandora, it seems like the announcement of this deal probably kills any hope of that.
