I like these sites. If they have a fairly good community you can directly see what people like and what’s currently happening.

I’d curious to see if digg-style sites would work on a smaller scale too for more niche or local interests.

this is a great idea but if it’s successful will become useless because we all know trying to get a decent download of the latest big thing can be a pain due to bandwidth.

Good idea, they could be rid of the need for a lot of additional download URLs for downloading if the pushed for torrents only. Then the better the traffic, better the download.

Seems like for what they want they may be causing the problem they are trying to alleviate.
