The best part is that Google didn't entirely win anything for their new product/service -- I hope Google doesn't begin to spread itself too thinly. The key to the success of Google Docs and Spreadsheets is talking about collaboration, collaboration...What are some good collaborative painting tools as well as possibly AutoCAD-like tools??

It seems Google always rolls out something and let general public as their "QA"s. I believe the Presently will get to one point that will be useful. Just my 2 cents.

Gaggle is readying an online PowerPoint compatible creation and presentation tool, their code name for it is "Pissantly".
I only have one simple message for these wannabe MS drones and anal-retentives:
"KEEP YOUR FREAK'N GREASY FINGERS OFF MY PPT FORMAT!!!"

I can understand your wanting an application like PowerPoint (it's wonderful), I can understand your jealousy of Bill and I, I can even understand why you guys are all so brainwashed. But, PPT belongs to Microsoft! We will go over every bit and byte of whatever you "release" looking for any violations of our codebase, if we find even the slightest copying, I garun-darned-tee you that all hell will break loose on you guTards!
"THIS FAR, NO FURTHER!!!"
The cloud is comin' baby!
It's gonna' rain allllll over you!

Alex, if you have to polishing the document afterwards with ms-word, why do it with MS-word in the first place? what's the point using G docs then?

Also used Google docs for collaborative document writing. Very useful. The presentation app is too stripped down. I need some drawing tools. The Google page creator does a better job than this app for creating a "slide".

I've used google docs to keep group spreadsheets organized, but I'll agree it's not as easy to use as it should be. Especially formatting bullets in a list - it's rough.

I was a "heavy-user" of google docs. I have MSc students scattered all over Brazil, from the rich south, up to the Amazon, and we have drafted many many chapter thesis on it, polishing things afterwards with ms-word.

But now I heart Buzzword. I think it's just incredible and I hope some bigshot will acquire them as soon as possible, so I can finally rest in peace over their servers!
