Couldn’t snag a ticket to this year’s TechCrunch40 conference? Head on over to techcrunch40.com to follow the action online.

We’ve put together a fully-featured website for the event, which starts this morning and continues through Tuesday evening. Get the scoop on the 40 presenting companies, the 100 demo pit companies, our expert panelists, and our keynotes. As the conference progresses, we will upload video clips of each set of presentations. While you are waiting for those to appear, you can view Flickr photos of the conference and Twitter messages from attendees.

Three companies have helped us to enable viewer interaction through the website. Tangler has equipped the website with several embedded live discussions in which you can discuss the presentations and share your general thoughts about the conference. JS-Kit has provided ratings badges for all of the presenting and DemoPit companies. While you won’t be able to rate the companies if you are not at the Palace Hotel, you can check out what the attendees think of the companies. Finally, Mozes has offered a way for everyone to vote on their favorite companies via cell phone (whether or not you are at the event).

Keep checking techcrunch40.com throughout the following two days, as we will be releasing more information about the companies as they actually present.

Also keep visiting TechCrunch for a live blog of all the presentations, keynotes, panel discussions and big company presentations.

    GIVE ME A TICKET.

Seriously though, why not stream it?

This would be a perfect tie-in for that Justin.TV crap you guys love so much.

Or how about a TechCrunch40 Second Life island?

    A Duncan Riley Twitter bombardment?

Charge micro-payments while you’re at it.

Ok, I was only being serious about the streaming it part.

    @ Mark:

How hard is it to send one dude from table to table, and have another dude posted on the stage? See G4 @ E3.

I’m sure a startup like UStream.TV would be more than happy to put the whole thing together in exchange for the traffic and the pub.

  4. lawrence

this should be STREAMED live; no other way…

what’s with this pre-recorded uploading stuff?

  5. Razvan Antonescu

One more day for Google’s announcement. That really sucks

  6. Search◊Engines WEB

This new concept was obviously a result of Search Engines Web’s persistent postings over the past couple of years, INSISTING, that these conferences be shared in real-time and archived for the world.

What is so interesting is that this is the latest in a run of influential postings on high profile blogs that have caused so many VIPs to re-think their archaic marketing practices :-o

we’re waiting for the live streaming :)

First of all, this is not streamed live. How difficult is it to use ustream? Wow even a non techie user can figure out ustream. The fact is TC does not want to endorse any other companies’ product other that these that they think is TC40 worthy. Fact is I see companies that are already launched in the pool, such as thisnext, just makes me think this TC40 has gone way off its original intent into a pure money making thing for TC.

All of the logos on TechCrunch40.com should link to the respective company’s site.

  11. Nick Gonzalez

Ustream.tv may be casting the event. I also have a cam that I will periodically be casting from on http://justin.tv/techtalk

  12. Kosso

I totally agree with Steve’s comment above : why are those logos not linking to the respective company’s sites?

    Also ’storyblender’ is listed twice.

And what is the deal with the ordering of those logos? I would say that alphabetical listing would be the fairest way of doing it.

I am confused some of these companies that are showing would not have a problem showing at demo and are well funded. I thought this was aimed at companies with lesser a budget? I’d love to know how and why these were picked, is this going to be part of the panel discussions?

  14. Rajesh Shakya

Thank you Nick for the information. Will follow the event.

    @13 Darren,

TC is a business, and SV is a small world. So when a VC guy says to MA to pick my company, he is not going to say no and aside from that, you want to pick funded companies so to lessen the chances of TC40ish companies not making it in the future. Hanging out with all these funded companies and their respected VCs, opens up more doors for MA. With all the contact he has, it wouldn’t surprise me to raise the money himself and start his own VC. Then he’ll be making the real dough :)

TC40 site is being hammered…not able to open it. Just goes to show how many people are interested in this conference.

  18. Jason McMinn

The TC40 web site does work.

  19. Kosso

I see the dupe has now been removed, but I think it’s funny to have the ‘?’ question mark there as in this day and age, I wouldn’t put it past a new company to have that as a logo! heh ;)

Now seeing a link being added to the logos, but it’s still another two clicks until you get to the crunchbase site with a link to the company url.

I thought these companies actually paid you?

    ;p

  20. nostream?

with all the hype and orgasm you all give for streaming there is no excuse why I can’t be watching this online right now right ?

    let’s get with the program!

So whats up with the vids?

I can only see a link for the Intro and “Powerset” presentation…what about the rest?

    Cheers

  24. rose

If you insist on keeping everything on the techcrunch40.com site, you could use blogTV’s live embedded player to stream it live on your site through blogTV.com.

  25. Jonthan

A bit late to stream it now.

I am just surprised that the vids have not been made available yet, nor has any news on when they will be made available >_
