Yahoo Mash, Yahoo’s new social network experiment, sent out the first batch of invitations moments ago. The service is invite only at this point. Get yours at InviteShare now.
I am seeding the first few invitations. Then it’s up to you. Once you get an invite, come back to confirm it and invite a few more people to keep things going. The more people you invite, the higher you will appear on waiting lists for future private betas.

Mike, about 2,000 people are waiting for Mint invites on InviteShare. Any way to send them all invites en mass? Right now, sending one at a time would take all day…
How many ‘Social Networks’ are there going to be? What is the next big thing? Somebody tell me so I can start programming it.

From what I’ve seen lately, invites seems like a very popular marketing tactic. We are trying to let people know about our new startup http://christonium.com – however we didn’t go the invite route…
I am willing to take the chance that Yahoo will do this right. I would take an invite if you are still giving them out.
There’s got to be a spin on the invite model. They could have given invites to anyone with a name starting with Y.

Got an invite through InviteShare thanks to “Pras Sarkar” – couldn’t find any way to reply because I lost the email address and couldn’t find any history in InviteShare to see who invited me..
So far, I’m not impressed by it.. and I don’t think any of my other non-web2.0 friends would be interested so I don’t want to spam them. To be able to customize your profile’s a little is probably a good thing, but that’s also the precise reason why I dislike viewing myspace profiles.

The people who seek invites to stuff like this are the same people who stood in line for hours on end waiting for their iPhone, and are now squawking about the $200 price drop. The idiocracy is in full evolution-mode right now.
