why it has to be digg copycat, why not be creative and start their own social news with its characteristic that differs from others… if this is just like digg, why would people visit there instead of digg that already famous ?

news portalling has been beaten to death.

this is another rehash on “upvote” news, which in its most primitive form is already available at yahoo news as “most emailed”. for more refined examples see digg and reddit. one day people will want an alternative to digg and reddit, but that day hasn’t come just yet.

yahoo news works because it is simple, straightforward, and constantly updated. cnn pretty much takes the same approach…because it works.

Digg was fun for awhile, but now it seems to be more of a popularity contest. If the same people are making the front page, they’re becoming de facto editors, no?
