It’s funny, in a weird reversal, the face of Steve Jobs above is oddly reminiscent of the face of “Big Brother” on the screen in the 1984 Macintosh commercial. Just an observation
The new “classic” with 160GB will hold all my music which is cool. But the iPod touch is too cool to pass up.

Very disappointed with the iPod Touch, I was hoping to upgrade my 30gb video ipod (it’s full) with the new Touch but with the 16gb size it doesn’t look like I will. I guess I’ll be getting a “Classic”. Oh and the ringtones and starbucks features are LAME!!!!

Yah the $0.99 for turning a song you all-ready own into a ring-tone is just crap. Starbucks is a none event unless it allows free web-surfing at all starbucks as well..

The really funny thing here is that office 2.0 conference today was giving out iphones along with the registrations.
The price of an iphone just dropped 33% today.

I was hoping the iPod touch would have more memory so I could put all of my music and video on it, maybe before Christmas they will have one with more memory.
$200 price cut on the iPhone – that’s a quick price drop on product that first shipped a couple of months ago.

The iPod Touch probably needs flash storage to be so thin. The space that would usually hold a harddrive holds the touchscreen components.
#15, it is definitely flash storage $299/8GB, $399/16GB (same price as the phone!)
I know I am getting that wifi enabled IPod. forget the music, but accessing the web for 300 flat is gr8.

I’m all torn up. I have a current edition 8gb nano that is cool but I always wanted it to play video, even on that dinky screen. The new nano looks kinda funny but with a bigger screen and video playback and an awesome price, it’s very tempting. But I also really want the “touch”, because of the huge widescreen, and super bonus of web browsing! I was not expecting that at all, as it seems to somewhat eat into the coolness of the iPhone… Oh and then they drop the price of the iphone by $200, barely 2 months after release? Damn… my verizon phone plan is just about to expire and I’ve been thinking about the iPhone, this makes it very tempting. But 8GB may not be quite enough. The touch has 16gb but no phone…. argh…. I guess I’ll have to get all three

Add a microphone function to the new iPod touch and one has a VoIP phone with multimedia capabilities.
