Tyler, you can even start a new channel and add blog posts, news, podcasts, and news from the other channels and publish it. Others can subscribe to it. For eg. I have created a channel with cool surfing videos from various sources Surfing Videos.

Very interesting concept and as you stated, it is put together and organized better than Google Reader. I just signed up for an account and so far it seems pretty easy to use. I have been looking for ways not only to promote my blog but to also find other technology related blogs and feeds so that I can gain more knowledge and ideas to write about…this seems like a great way to do that.
