Great job Paul Yanez ! I have some q’s:

1. Is it possible to embed these players into a web site ?
2. Can you customise players the way that everyone will have a chance to mashup video content from all hosting sites (YouTube, Brightcove, Veoh…) - a mashup flash application like SplashCast ? SplashCast works only with youtube and have some problems with Full Screen mode.

I thing that with your knowlage of programming in Flash you can make better application than SplashCast and you can make real web tv revolution ! Watching video in the brewser is the easyest way and in the near future 6 Mb/s transfers will be standard so video resolution will not be a metter

I run two Apple TV-related web sites: appletvsource.com and appletvhacks.net. Though I really don’t understand the reasoning behind making an interface that looks like Apple TV’s FrontRow, it is nice to see some new ideas being implemented in the interface. Apple could have added many more features to the Apple TV, like what this gentleman did to his web site. I do commend his effort.

i just posted a small blog on itaggit.com about how i hooked up my old screenless powerbook to create an apple TV - sorta in my bedroom. with a wireless keyboard and mouse, airport + itunes shared on network - i can do everything appletv can do. it’s extremely easy. - only thing missing is front row.

This guy is a moron. He ‘creates’ something that looks the same, with the implication that he’s so smart cos he can deliver it in a browser. Try viewing ‘his’ versions on a 7ft plasma screen - hell, even a regular 27in screen! Apple TV and Joost (ignoring Bablegum here, as it really is shit) recreate the TV viewing experience via an IP platform that provides the best of both worlds. This muppet acts like they’re little more than YouTube clones! Hello! There are good reasons why they’re not browser-based applications!
