Social bookmarking service turned Q&A style site Wis.dm was taken $5 Million in a round led by North Bridge Venture Partners.
Wis.dm was founded by uDate founder Martin Clifford. North Bridge’s Michael Skok will join the Wis.dm board as part of the deal.
Wis.dm provides a simple yes/no question service which aims to avoid long answers to life’s most elusive questions. Wis.dm also offers a Facebook application that gives users the ability to answer questions that appear on Wis.dm.

It seems like a glorified survey product. Other than adding structure, isn’t this what half the people on Twitter spend most of their day doing?
$5 Million?
Here is a listing of the questions on the front page of the site right now.
can you feel truth? (What??)
Can you list every book you’ve ever read? (No. If you can you are a total retard)
does a poem have to be true or based on truth? (Its a poem, it is inherently a lie!)
ARGGHHH, Can you believe I already have a shit load of homework!? (Is this a question?)
Is it possible to get bored of planet earth? (My God)
You have a sister and she is a lesbian. Your parents don’t approve of homosexuality and they don’t know about sis. Do you tell? (the only interesting question so far, and it is probably a 45 year old pervert in his underwear)
can you be “just too old” for certain things or is it really that you’re just not in the mood? (what, have an older boyfriend and wondering why you aren’t having sex?)
Are you ashamed of your heritage? (Ugh)
– Wow. I can’t believe they raised $5 million with this level of conversation. That last question has 111 answers!!!
If they raised $5 million, I no longer have any worries about my business. This is very exciting indeed. =^)

Seems like you get more information from the comments than the normal yes or no. Interesting concept.
Hillarious ….. another useless time waster for attention starved people !
If you’re that attention starved you can always ‘converse’ with a chatbot…

I saw a write up about this in Time magazine, as well. Now it’s on TechCrunch.
Our Q&A site = more features than any other. Plus, we have Mandy Moore as a guest advisor, which is yet another first for a Q&A site.
Do we get coverage? Nope, (imho) because we don’t have any venture capital. That’s OK though…because we’re going to eat wis.dm’s lunch. (Can you picture trying to tell somebody how to find it…? “no, it’s dot dm, not dot com…no, you don’t use dot com, you type it in the address bar…nevermind”.)
well, it seems to be a popified http://jyte.com/ clone, sans openid. lame.
