I absolutely agree with manu kaur.

The old version was so much better. It had a certain “feel” in it. The new one does not have that. It looks like every other “new” website. It looks very cheap.

Please let us at least have the opportunity to choose between the old and new one. I’m sure the majority of people who actualyl care about orkut feel the same way.

The new orkut design makes orkutting very boring the old design was a better one. Orkutting now doesn’t generate any interest for me with the coming up of this new design plzzzzzzzz get it back to the old design….otherwise i will have to delete my account….its too boring…wat feeling i used to get when i used to log in…that feeling doesnt come with this new one…..i beg you guys plzzzzz get us the old one back….or u can do something like that there should be this provision for orkut users who want to use the new look…and for those who would love that old look back….do sumthing of this sort…thanks

This looks a lot like Friendster 2.5 from 2004…and as someone else pointed out it’s a LOT like the MSN design. (I’ve done work for both.) It’s functional, but aesthetically underwhelming and yeah…trying to be trendy in a kind of last-season way.

From a task-centric point of view I find I’m hunting and scanning to find functions — blue on blue on blue does not provide sufficient contrast. Some small points of saturated colour would help, as well as some differentiation of text size to indicate priority or importance, newness, etc.
