Amit,

Check this out - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/acns/v42/configuration/guide/params.html#wp1029365

Cisco does the same thing - there are advantages to doing it at the router level - it's available to everyone on the network, or instance.

Calling all brilliant hackers in the Southeast:

We are building a "YCombinator for the Southeast" in Atlanta this Fall. We'll provide seed funding, connections, PR/credibility, advice, and community with others like you. Many of us are geeks and entrepreneurs who have started and built web/software businesses and cashed out. We've been there, done that, and want to help you CHANGE THE WORLD.

Can you point us to a great piece of s/w you've built and an open-source s/w project you've contributed significantly to? Do you have big dreams? If so, please get in touch on Facebook or email me at waytking[at]gmail. We want to help you CHANGE THE WORLD.

@Michael: It amazes me the kind of stuff that VCs will put money in these days.

You're the first person to mention VCs in this post. These are very small "show me" angel investments. No one should be shocked if nothing substantial comes out of this. More interesting will be to see where all these founders are in five or ten years. This is basically a true startup bootcamp that can only help them down the road.

Must you link the the "crunchbase" its annoying and not very user friendly. I'm more interested in checking out the product that your reporting first hand, not some more reporting if you get my drift. Linking out never hurt anybody - go back to it. k thnx bye!

Without judging this crop of startups please keep in mind that we are not talking about millions of dollars worth of VC funds but rather rather small investments in new companies.

I thought YC invests something like $10k-50k per company.

I will be looking into some of these apps as they appear quite creative, and primarly geared toward enhancing the web experience. The simple photo editing app is the most exciting in my opinion. Photoshop has been giving people way more than most need for a really long time, thats one incumbent that needs a bit of competition.

The commenters on techcrunch are way too negative for no reason. I love how the yc companies build great products

Yawn, wake me up when something really innovative comes around.

I've been finding some gems among the startups reviewed at http://www.killerstartups.com, if for no other reason than because they review a ton of sites w/o much filtering, allowing me to decide what is interesting. They are starting to turn into the encyclopedia of startups.

Looks like YC has deserved its nickname Y-Bombinator. None of these startups do anything even remotely interesting.

AnywhereFM: The last thing I want to hear on my musicstream is hearing ads right below or in between my songs, I think it wil be a bad move to go towards that direction. If they really want to go that way, I think they should only at the most put our artists' promo tracks as advertisement. Don't make me listen to some crap on comcast trip play and how it could save me money
