so far it seems to me great. but they change their mind easily. last year they were trying to change their international plan and @ that time i called the customer service and asked. the rep told me this new prog for new customer. then i was thinking hope they will not change for me. last month they sent me an email and said we r going to change the plan. i think that is sucks and bu.. sh.. .... they don't honor the customer. i'm thinking from my location thet are going to loose more than 30 customers at a time. that's is not a good sign for the business.

back to joel, i had the same prob then i used to unplug the power cord and plug it back...

nothing to say. it just makes me upset. one of my friend said to me, they are totaly cheating with the customer. i'm quite confused what i suppose to do......

I am now testing the VDV21 and the setup was fairly straighforward. I have been a Vonage user for over 5 years and the service has been fairly reliable with the Linksys RT31P2. I work from home at least 4 days/week and am on conference calls at least 50% of the time. The Linksys is directly connected to my cable modem (service from Roadrunner in Southern California) and my phones are plugged into it. I have no devices stacked above or below to make sure it doesn't overheat.

I found that once I separated the vonage device from the wap/router and got a single vonage device that plugged into the firewall/router... all problems of dropped calls vanished. The linksys wap/router/vonage device just gets smokin hot. And if you stack your linksys devices... expect a heat to destroy them all eventually if you leave them on all the time. (unless you have a dedicated FAN to keep them cool??). Back to topic, once I separated the vonage device from the "heat", I've had no problem since. Now, if I can just keep the idiotic construction guys in the neighborhood from backhoeing the cable lines...

Vonage has jumped the shark,

they have to prove a sustainable business Model - Sunrocket - Viatalk and all the others have not done so -- packet8 is close with their VO product at 81% margins.

Vonage service sucks b***s. Wife and I work from the home office frequently and it drops during con calls and even dropped during one of my press calls during my last launch. I have a HUGE dedicated pipe to my house supplied by Cisco (where I work) and I'm not a network novice. This is a service issue.

In the process of dumping them. They need much more then bells and whistles like this product...

I don't think user are shy of displaying they Vonage gear;rather; they are uncomfortable to identify themselves in light of the not so recent negative PR Vonage received.

Consumer don't forget easily. I am sure that Amp'd bring back some of those bad memories. $30 sounds but how long will they remain in biz ?

Thanks you,
weary consumer
