People are clearly getting a little fatigued with all the new Facebook applications – so it’s nice to see something that actually works in reverse by pulling Facebook data into another application. Netvibes launched a cool new widget today that pulls certain Facebook data into your Netvibes page. Once installed, the widget show messages, pokes, friend requests, and other information. The widget also shows information on friends and has a search feature.
I could install it but it won’t pull data from Facebook. Two of our interns were able to get it to work. Let us know if it works smoothly, or not, for you.
What would be awesome is if Facebook (or a third party using the Facebook API) created a general widget to post this type of information on any website.

Works fine for me, but I rarely use netvibes and am on facebook atleast once an hour, so I have little use for it.
Worked just fine for me. It gives you the basic stats but you still want to login to the site in order to check your feed.
sweet, i’m famous …
Not working for me.
Works for me, really useful as I am a Netvibes and Facebook addict, but I am would like to have all my feed on Netvibes… It is probably coming.
Works great for me, logged in, and off I was.

About damn time.
For some strange reason you have to close the popup window in which you authenticate on Facebook before the widget can pull data.
Pretty cool, though it is a tad too large IMHO.
I’ve been hearing from a lot of developers that AJAX is one of the weaknesses for the platform. Considering that Netvibes is oodles of Ajax, it will be interesting to see how their application performs.
The Facebook app overload is already starting to set in. I predicted as much.
Works for me just great.
Netvibes modules for facebook have been around for a while…I added one before and got rid of it because it’s not terribly useful. Not sure why this is supposed to be new.
Killer. Finally, everything all in one place!
I hate to be the party-pooper, but this _might_ be breaching the platform’s terms of use. I recall some sentence in there saying you can legally only preserve user information for 24 hours. I’m not sure Netvibes is violating this, but they might want to have their lawyers take a look.
Ok .. maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but I’ve never been to NetVibes, and am officially addicted to Facebook, so this one isn’t really for me.
Worked fine for me – possibly a good way to wean yourself off Facebook!
very nice, up and running in about 30 seconds.
Worked fine for me
Cool!
This one works great! http://apps.fac...com/thenewsroom
