Does anyone have any information on how to build such websites that allow automatic login to Netflix? I had one working years ago with PHP's curl, but haven't been able to figure it out using WWW:Mechanize on Rails.

Netflix has had a "social network" of sorts for a while now; there's a tab at the top labelled "Friends" and you can see how similar your friends tastes are to your own, what they have out, what they rated. You can leave notes on movies for your friends, among other things.

They don't call the features out much, and I think they're still toying with where the value element is, but I've actually been pretty impressed with the "social network" Netflix has for movies. They just don't make a big deal of it.

"Must be a slow Friday if “[insert random socialnet] adds a feature” suddenly becomes newsworthy."

Seriously. "Creative programming" my ball sack.

Umm, i've seen other sites with Netflix queuing -- cin-o-matic.com has had it for at least 2 years now, and that's a one-man labor of love.
