		<description>I have to commend Michael Arrington on his post.  You have it correct indeed.  For too long AT&amp;T and Verizon have had a strangle hold on the market.  They cripple their phones, raise their rates, and offer nothing to the customer in terms of service or option.  

I&#039;ll be the first to say I&#039;m not gung-ho Google, but in this effort I&#039;d gladly back them up if it means the consumer benefits.  Google is blazing a path to open the wireless market. I realize they have their best interest in mind by doing this, but allowing the duopolies to get this new spectrum Carte blanche could not be good in any way for consumers.  

At best I think Google is going to change the business model for wireless and offer consumers the needed advocate break free of this closed market.  

The other option is AT&amp;T and Verizon splitting the difference and bending the consumer over yet again to take it in the the rear with no lube.</description>
