Aber auch er beschreibt die Qualitäten von Facebook am anschaulichsten im Vergleich mit Google: “The difference with Facebook will be how the various applications are glued together, and this is where Facebook already has the advantage: Facebook’s origins as a social networking site means that everything they launch is linked in to that central core.
As the next Microsoft? That's a pretty far fetched claim. Why? Because Microsoft can afford to buy Facebook, even at an unreasonable $8B valuation. Everyone has a price, even Mark Zuckerberg.

Lorenz,
In response to your # 48 comment I'm afraid your living in just a computer world only what happend to the real world?

1)We have predators living right nest door to us & no matter if we're on Myspace or not they always have access to us even on other sites (they just like myspace more than your facebook)

2)Not anything goes they'll kick you off if they don't like something. The people can also report something they don't like, if you don't like it than report it.

3) What doesnt have problems (youknow facebook will too)

4) Can you prove the porn star accusation? If you can you're sadder and more perverted than I thought.

5) Everyone likes music & there is plenty on there, dont pretend you don't listen.

6) Spam will hit you no matter what website your on & AGAIN WITH THE PORN COME ON MAN!

7) How do you think they make money? I would like to see you do it without advertisments. (do you watch tv?)

And if anyone with an e mail can get into facebook than wait and it will soom be myspace Jr. To Me you sound like our everyday "ivy league" know it all. Buisness is Buisness & I don't see what all the fuss is about.

To sum it up:
Myspace: A place where normal peoople can keep in touch with of corse the occasional spammer and obviouse perve that will maybe come across you if you don't know how to make your profile private.

Facebook: A place where uptight past 35 yearolds can hit "on every college student who uses it." And a place that will be a social network for the some 30 persent of "clean & classy top university students."

I know I'm clean & Classy but i'm no ivy leaguer or top university student and I'm on facebook, does that mean that facebook is now "an ugly, anything goes social ntwork" where a "bunch of party animal porn star spammers w/crappy technology" are?

2)Not anything goes they’ll kick you off if they don’t like something. The people can also report something they don’t like, if you don’t like it than report it.

3) What doesnt have problems (youknow facebook will too)

4) Can you prove the porn star accusation? If you can you’re sadder and more perverted than I thought.

5) Everyone likes music & there is plenty on there, dont pretend you don’t listen.

To Me you sound like our everyday “ivy league” know it all. Buisness is Buisness & I don’t see what all the fuss is about.

To sum it up:
Myspace: A place where normal peoople can keep in touch with of corse the occasional spammer and obviouse perve that will maybe come across you if you don’t know how to make your profile private.

Facebook: A place where uptight past 35 yearolds can hit “on every college student who uses it.” And a place that will be a social network for the some 30 persent of “clean & classy top university students.”

I know I’m clean & Classy but i’m no ivy leaguer or top university student and I’m on facebook, does that mean that facebook is now “an ugly, anything goes social ntwork” where a “bunch of party animal porn star spammers w/crappy technology” are?

Web Operating systems.... I can see that down the road at some point the majority of applications will be executed as web services via a browser, but come on, in 5 years Facebook will be the next Microsoft? Please. Facebook's largest user base consists of the most fickle crowd of online users possible, just ask MySpace how that worked out for them.

I predict in 5 years Zuckerburg will be remembered for the guy who made a career selling an entire generation's worth of marketing data without any regard to users' privacy rights.

Oh, and Facebook replacing a company's intranet? That's laughable.
