Not a whole lot of uprfromnt costs here, so I have no idea why everyone is such the “idea guy” in these comments.

As they develop the network of, obviously, part-timer writers, they will grow in reach and develop various niche followings; poor execution alone will be the demise.

The only clear competitor would be The Onion.
