Online games site King.com will officially launch MyGame Tuesday, a social gaming site that brings together user generated content, casual games, and revenue sharing.
MyGame users can play existing games or develop their own games using a game builder. Users pick a game template, personalize it with text, sounds and photo, then start playing.
User generated games can be shared on social networks or added to blogs and websites.
We covered a similar service, PlayMyGame in May. Both share a common idea: user generated games. Where MyGame takes the concept further is with the ability for users to upload their own games. MyGame offers game developers a share of ad revenue generated by their game, along with a chance to receive an advance cash bonus if they integrate the MyGame API into their games.
Whilst the novelty value of sites such as MyGame and PlayMyGame is obvious, providing an outlet where user generated games cannot only be created, but uploaded and profited from is definitely the next step forward in this space. MyGame may only start with a small number of games, but the opportunity is there for the site to tap into its user community to build something much bigger.
For those who have ever wanted to poke me in the eye, be it for covering quirky startups or for not covering your Digg or De.licio.us clone, enjoy:

Hopefully, society’s obsession with violence in gaming might be replaces with brain teasers.
How much more creativity can be squeezed from hitting or shooting or destroying people and places???
Thnx alot, gr8 post, i always wanted to make a flash game, thnx!
I got 2 points — just shows that I never really had a grudge against you, Duncan. Awesome site, yeah, I could probably find some use for it sometime soon.
oohh 3 players in this field already !… You forgot to mention Pictogame.com which was the first custom games widget to be launched.
Nice to see pictogame is advertising itself in your highscores list. Wonder how many hits they will get from that.
Sweet! This is a great step forward for flash games. Eventually perhaps we will see applications with the power of the old Klik & Play.

Take a look at my site: http://mygamebuilder.com – allows you to build games using it’s Flex-based game builder. Lots of people have made games already over the last month…
I wonder whether it will be possible to morph two different games together. Something like mixing game features together. It could also be regarded as creating game hybrids.
Create a game and share revenue, looks lucrative.
