The new version is very disappointing in my opinion. After logging hours of gameplay, I find that it’s not that much fun any more. Also, I’m not seeing the snap and boost towers. Am I overlooking them somehow?

I don’t mind the ads, but I really wish they hadn’t re-recorded the vocals and sound effects. They were a lot more charming in the original version.

This is a good game if you’re ever board and need to be occupied for awhile. I’d definately recommend this to people who have played the older versions and want a real challenge!

On TechCrunch, The snap shots advertising interferes with trying to click on a link. If you happen to have your mouse close to what your trying to read, then your surprised by a pop up which covers the text your reading. I happen to use the middle mouse button to force a new tab when I click on a link. Works great, except with snap shots.

Intrusive advertising is at the heart of TechCrunch, but a “K” on a creep is too far??

The in-game advertising with the letter K appearing on creeps referring to a sponsor is intrusive and a step too far.

I do, however, curse Techcrunch for showing me that game, hooking me in.

That being said .. I’m not sure how it, or any single-player game could be called Web 2.0

The new version looks poor in my opinion, way too complex and the new additions add no real value.

Duncan – it’s only a “Web 2.0 gaming success story” because TC keep posting about the game!!

I think the only possibly reason TC keep posting about Desktop Tower Defence is because they have vested interest in it, either personally or financially.

Keep the reporting unbiased please!!!!
