Don't get me wrong. I love OSS and much of my company is based on OSS technology, but historically the open source community has been followers...not leaders. One more comment. Because it is open source, I can be reasonably confident that it isn't infested with all sorts of spyware and exploits. Most private companies don't seem to mind bundling in all sorts of crap in their installers. I think it is interesting that for once an open source company is leading the innovation charge.
