CallBurner is a new standalone Skype recording add-on from the Australian team behind Skylook.
CallBurner uses the technology behind Skylook to deliver the same functionality as Skylook without the need to have Microsoft Outlook installed. The CallBurner client delivers professional recording in a simple interface, recording Skype calls direct to MP3 or to the WAV format for higher quality recordings.
CallBurner isn’t the first software of this type available. What impressed me with CallBurner was how it worked: it worked exactly as advertised where as some packages I’ve tried previously were difficult and/ or temperamental.
This isn’t free software; users get a 14 day free trial then there’s a charge of $49.95 (Windows only), but for heavy Skype users or people conducting business or interviews over Skype that have a need to record calls it’s a price worth paying.

I like Pamela. Will this record both sides in sep. channels?
The CallBurner Link includes the statement:
Optionally record each side of the call to a separate file.
That’s nice, I wonder if standard phone recording laws apply to this?
I had TotalRecorder working doing the same thing but I haven’t been able to since. If you have a need for it, $50 isn’t much to pay.
Like Allen, I am also a fan of Pamela – they even have a free version if your Skype calls are not too long.
Why use Callburner when you could download PrettyMay for for free???

While law may not be applicable in all cases of VOIP recording, I would urge Mr. Riley to offer a note of caution regarding this software. 1. Unauthorized recording could get you in trouble and more importantly, 2. Unauthorized recording is simply bad form.
Reminders to respect privacy are never a bad thing.
I use PowerGramo – the free version has unlimited recording time without any trial period limitations, so it rocks.

The paid version can record conference calls.
I use SAM KishKish, pretty awesome recording as well and works as an answering machine for Skype. Best of all, its free!
I use PowerGramo. It works fine.
I use pamela. I like it. Free version of Pamela comes with limited features which seems just enough for my personal use.
I’ve been using Skylook (the big sister product of this new one) for a long time now – and I can say that it is far superior to Pamela – can’t really compare them.
I think the program does worth the price. PowerGramo does recording better and is priced much lower.
PrettyMay offers many features more than other Skype recorders, such as share music, store voicemails, etc.
I can advice SkypeCallRecorder. I’m using it for a while and can swear you – it’s works very good.
ps even better that it’s complitelly free
As for me i use SkypeCap.It’s one of the best Skype recorders I have had to deal with. Highly recommended.
