Now they are buying stumbleupon because in theory, SU has the potential to become a platform for browse / search with a reported 4 million stumbles per day, if each one was as valuable as a search from the box on Google or Yahoo, that's a really good position in the search market for such a low figure. Of course, there is the SU for product potential as well. eBay bought Skype, which is a communication platform – namely, voice & chat.
