I just ordered one of these and no, I am neither retired or tech challenged. I have a Blackberry for work and love it for emails and calendar maintenance. I chose this phone for personal use because it seems durable, substantial, simple, and something I can find in my purse. I have no need for online services when I’m driving, It doesn’t feel like a small brick when I hold it to my ear. All I want to do is receive and make calls and get voice messages. Okay, it doesn’t have games but I have my Blackberry and Brickbraker to play when meetings get too dull.

That’s a rarity, though.

I worked at Best Buy and we sold more old-people land lines than any other land-based phone (the big white ones with amplified volume, visible antenna and huge buttons).

There is definitely a market for this formula being used for cell phones. Making them foldable helps them fit in fanny packs!

This 64 year old tech savy lady loves her Jitterbug phone. I have no interest in music, email, surfing the web or texting when I am away from home. Just need a dependable phone that I can see, hear and find in my purse when I need it.

This senior wants a very simple to use cell phone, let’s say, an on and off button, and a send button, nothing more.

Being on fixed incomes, we need an inexpensive phone.

I have a computer, desk top, anything I need to do on the computer, I’ll do on my desktop.

Am having a BAD time with the purchase, shipping of a set of jitterbug phones. Need to contact their coustomer service ref. this problem. The items should have been sent about two weeks ago. If they are not going to ship them I want my credit card cancelled (for this purchase)
Although I would to have the phones. Where do I go from here. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I highly reconmend this especially if your Mother is in a Nursing Home. My Mother never stays in here rooom so it was a problem calling her. Now it is a breeze and she has had no problem using it. I have customized my ring so she knows when I am calling. She loves being connected to her loved ones and does not call us much. She likes getting our calls when we are not busy.

I found good reviews of the Jitterbug on Cnet.com and PhoneScoop.com. I have been looking into this phone also before buying it. I have seen various reviews that customers had no problems with customer service so there may just be a few people that had a negative experience but that is the same with any company. I am having faith in the positive comments I’ve read and purchasing one today!

The phone sounds like a winner, since very few of the wee phones (or PDAs) come with an auxilary keyboard with single use buttons. (My take on CTL-ALT-DEL has always been that if God had intended that we hit 3 buttons, we would have 3 hands.) The lack of service (and probably service area) negates the usefulness of something I would buy. I’m also awaiting a dependable provider for my area (other that GlobalStar.)

I have been researching the Jitterbug extensively. It sounds like the perfect solution for my vision impaired father in law. However, it sounds like Greatcall really needs to get its act together before this innovated phone will take off. It will be no help to him if the operator isnt there to answer his call. Customer service sounds like a nightmare too. I’d like to see some positive reviews of this cell phone service before I invest in one.

2 weeks ago I ordered a phone as a gift for my dad. When I received it, it had the wrong area code. I called customer service and they were very nice and said they would send a return label to send the phone back for it to be corrected. After a few days and I hadn’t received the label, I called again. They apologized and said that they would email the label. I did not get the label so I emailed them. I still have not received the label. This was to have been a Father’s Day present. At this rate I wonder if I will have it by next Christmas. It does make me wonder about the rest of Jitterbugs ’service’.
