They gutted the site 6 to 8 months ago right after Rhino stepped in and there has been little to zero communication that I've been able discern on dead.net about the future of the website and why url's like brentmydland.com had been turned into dead links. The music of the grateful dead has a huge impact on my life to this day, so I take their legacy and how it is treated seriously... it hasn't seemed as thought GDP and Rhino have felt the same way... as least as shown by their actions, especially in the case of gutting dead.net. For this reason among others, I no longer purchase any GDP, GDM, or Rhino products, but hope they really put the effort into dead.net that it deserves. I have been prepping a grateful dead archive/portal/wiki/resource at lightningwiki.com because there has been a gaping void online in terms of an end all gd resource and i'm a bit disqusted by how the remaining members / management continue to disrepect each other and the legacy to this day.... if dead.net is as good as it sounds, we'll scrap lightning wiki and we're good to go... if not, I look forward to creating a community based portal that will treat the gd legacy with the care that it deserves.... some of us take this stuff pretty seriously!!! :) Finally!
