Just as an FYI, DT invested in VocalTec (VOCL) "a VoIP Start-up" about 10 years ago. DT were VocalTec's best customer but consumed so much of VocalTec R&D bandwidth for quite some times leaving a vacuum in the market for other companies to conquer. I hope for Jaja that they will manage the situation better.

I think Jajah is hyped particularly now that there are other ways out there to initiate a call straight from the cell and not from the PC anymore. Check out mobivox..com

Thanks Nick for the nice article, highly appreciated! And thanks Steve for the kind words. We definitely want to provide you an easy to use and convenient service, where there is no headset or download/installation involved. We are working hard on improving the existing services and with the support of the Deutsche Telekom and Intel to make big steps towards the future of smart services and global communication and the face-lift is on the roadmap for sure ;-) Thanks, Frederik

I tried Jajah out a little while ago, and I have to say that I was quite impressed with it. I still think that it takes a bit getting used to. Services like Skype always remind me more completely of a standard landline than a purely web based telephony solution like Jajah.

Either way, with the new funding they will definitely be able to expand their reach a little and maybe give their UI a bit of a face-lift.
