All that new traffic from the relaunch, and the site goes down for the count. Or maybe it really is “scheduled maintenance,” in the middle of the day, at peak traffic times. 
I love Technorati, even when they lie to me.

Technorati has always had horrible reliability. It might not be the site going down, but it seems like every other time I’m there to search for something I got nothing but “Oops” errors.
I agree with Chris; technorati is utterly unreliable, and their support service is shockingly poor as well. On a positive note, their maintenance page illustration is nice
at least they aren’t as slow as digg.
Talking about Feedburner and deals…if there was ever a deal that needed to be done, this has got to be it!

What if Technorati founder phone cussing Michael Arrington’s ears?

I’m getting tired of the “Doh! The Technorati Monster escaped again”…at least 5 times today. I agree with Kathy, i prefer current message than the one i got today all day long.

Well I truly truly hate Technorati as they are slow and inaccurate.

As I remembered in these two days, loading time of Technorati’s new version is slower than the last one. And I did not see too many changes in Technorati. They changed only layout design and putting marque on top of the page ? Search.Technorati.com can beat Google BlogSearch ? Huh… Anyway, I’m the one of Technorati lovers.

Agreed, the Technorati Monster needs to be put on a stronger leash . And what does that even mean? Technorati’s website is powered by a monster and when he runs away it doesn’t work (like he’s on an industrial-sized hamster wheel?). Or they have pet monster who jumps into the machine and chews up the circuit boards?
So here’s what’s bugging me: With the relaunch, the “chart this” feature no longer seems to work.
i eat lunch with the technorati monster a few times a week and he’s informed me that he is less inclined to escape now that the new technorati:
1. runs faster
2. looks less like it’s designed for a 4 year old
3. is faster
4. is faster
5. is faster than it ever was before
i’ll bring him some porridge and check in with him later but frankly the site has never been faster. I prefer a brb message for 20 mins at 4pm on a wednesday to the previous frequent errors and speed issues (now resolved). the ratio there is pretty obvious. constant errors, or 20 mins without the ‘rati. i can tolerate the web for 20 mins without a search engine. gets me up from my desk. and as the flying spag monster knows, we could all use 20 mins up and out of our chairs.
