I’ve mentioned filmcommunity.com before. Its a new Social Media Network for Film & Filmmakers and anyone interested in cinema. Just over three weeks.

#1. Why trailers, and why on your iPod? Because they are the best scenes or images from a movie. For action sports videos, the trailers also have the best music. They are what you listen to on your way to the ski resort, on the way up the lift, and while your slidin’ downhill.

#2. For action sports, one of the best “trailer parks” out there is http://www.nossatv.com. The shorter video downloads could all be considered “trailers.” Just have to download their player first. Only four action sports channels, but way better viewing than all those above. They also had an iPod download for a while.

yahoo gets all of the trailers in HD and before anyone else (and since it’s the second largest movies site behind IMDB i would suspect that that will continue). the player has been a bit weird but i think they finally fixed it.

Pushing trailers just when you are most likely to (a) want to see them and (b) actually act on it by purchasing tix…they had a deal with movietickets – plans for a broader service in the works apparently.

Why do websites keep thinking they can drive traffic with movie trailers?

Downloadable or streaming movies=a real business. Movie trailers=not a business. That would be like building a porn site that only showed nipples…

Hmmmm. Sounds really exciting… ahem..

I’m still waiting however for 24 at http://www.myspace.com to work on any of our Vista machines.. Checked again today and I still get this gem.. http://creative.../VOD/vista.html with the following greeting (after a DNS redirect..)”FOX Video on Demand does not currently support computers running Windows Vista operating system. The site will support Windows Vista in the near future.”

Good news though.. The Trailer Trash site does work on Vista..! Yooo hooo!! ugh..

HDnet, which I get through dish network, has a show I love to watch in the morning called “Nothing but trailers” in High Def. Trailers are great because you can usually pull a few quality seconds out of even the crappiest of movies, and I usually won’t get around to watching the full length version of most of them anyways.

It is not a place that hosts movie trailers. Rather it is what we really want: one single place to find all the latest trailer content on the web. They are really on top of it and even post international trailers from interesting areas of the web. It’s the first place I check when watching trailers online.

Looks nice. But I agree with Jason, why would anyone want to download trailers on iPods?
On second thoughts- I would like the trailor of 300, loved the movie. Lemmi check if MySpace has it.
