A Valuable Service To Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs (humor)

GetThemLaid is a new site where you can post a description and pictures of your friends who really need to, well, have some real world social interaction. What really caught my eye is that one of the first few profiles on the site is Aaron Levie, the co-founder of Box.net. He’s described as “a sensitive soul” who “spends too much time with other dudes, sitting in front of a computer, trying to figure out how to monetize users.” I wonder what good friend of his decided to help him out…
If you find yourself on the site and want to be removed, email remove@getthemlaid.com.

A friend of mine works as a pharmacist for a major chain in the Valley; he shifts from store to store on a weekly basis all around the Bay.
The top three pills he dispenses:
1. Valtrex (6000 orders a week)
2. Viagra (3500 orders a week)
3. Zoloft (2500 orders a week)
So if you’re hankering for some depressed herpes ridden geeks with a big prick, this site’s for you!
Is Michael on the site?
And those who still can’t get laid can meet Mike’s previous call by trashing *this* post
OK. In the sprit of this site concept “GetThemLaid”, maybe there is an opportunity for them or somebody else to make a site where users can give feedback on peoples “personal ad COPY” recently I have helped a few friends write personal ads, because the had no clue how to approach it. My point is that people need help, so what I’m proposing is a hot or not type service to help people craft there ad COPY, then they would use the “approved by the public/women only/men only” ad on the major dating sites.
That’s really funny!
This post now has more comments than their site.
than their site has users. Should probably write what a bit more clear.
I am the fellow who runs this site and I am not sure who told Techcrunch about my site, but thank you. And Aaron - I really pulling for you buddy! My sister, her friends, my mom, my neighbors and all their friends have said no to humping around with you, but I have faith that somewhere out there in these billions of people, there is that one girl who is willing and able to assist you in your endeavor to get laid.
Thanks for the link, Michael and the mystery person who pointed you in my direction.
you asked your mom? no offense man, but that’s kinda weird.
Jan,
As founder of GTL, would you say your firm is looking for a big capital infusion?
What kind of liquidation preferences are you willing to swallow?
Shouldn’t everyone be on this site? Hmm, lets see the powers of getting laid; reduces stress, calms restive individuals, lowers competitive spirit (after the fact), etc. Yea, this won’t fly in the tech world!
What would be neat is if they provided a tracker on how many relationships were ended by having one s.o. finding another posted on the site by friends.
Great web site! Its setup with a set of load balanced dual cores, so it can handle the techcrunch effect.
Check out the digg as well.

I just can’t believe someone TechCrunched it. I know the founder, developers, operations stuff etc. Its built to scale, I’ll give you that.
I love their logo! Simple, funny and relevant.
“I love their logo! Simple, funny and relevant.”
And cheap! (http://h-master.net/web2.0/index.php)
Obvious, but worth mentioning…. If you do a search for women on the site, you get 0 hits.
Before you know it Arrington’s on it!
LOL @ Michael. Where do you find this stuff Michael? Did one of your minions have an experience there or something? I am going after some VC for a new Web 2.0 site: “Angels of Mercy”, I bet I get some traffic. LOL
Arrington,
Seriously, are you trying to reposition TC as more of a tabloid model?.. seems to be posting an increasing no of these …well, if tabloids bring more eyeballs, head counts and other parts of the anatomy that may indeed be the right way to go…though I personally would like to see more sound biz model related stories (…like at least 1 for every 10 of the other ones that seem destined to fall)
Yucks…. Be careful before you sign up.
What about real life diseases such as AIDS, HIV, etc?
It seems like the “GetLaid” model does not work in this case. Too many sellers and not enough buyers. It is all about Demand and Supply.
This model may have better chance in Second Life. Facebook is doing advertising here?
@ The facebook comment.
First we got the YouTube comment now we are getting the Facbook comment?
Mike, spam?
It is not spam. It is an educative, insightful piece from Mark.
Nonsense! Geeks are hawt!
Yo Mark,
Your arrogance is way out of line dude. Prid comes before a fall. May your children be born blind.
very very nice informations…thank you very much. mr suma…

-Rbowles
hahaha. search for a female. there is only one in the whole country and it mentions that she has aids in her profile.
How ’bout getting them “unlaid” http://www.thedatingreport.com.....-Cheat.htm
It is better to tell your successful friends to go to millionairematch.com. Too many gorgeous girls chase not enough high-income guys over there.
Monetize users. Personally I think Time Warner-AoHell, HP, Itty Bitty MindCo, et al are putting PLENTY of attention to that activity.
Secondly to the gent from Akalak……BITE ME!
When your company’s homepage has a picture of a shriveled PENIS on it, it sort of turns away your customers.
Mike Babes, Really. I would ask you to not give this thing any press. There is so much more value you have. Restraint, please.
Whats up with the youtube and facebook spam? It’s a stupid smear campaign.
Is Aaron Levie circumcised?
Cute idea, terrible concept.
Why does the site still only have one user lol.
