Scrapblog Offline, Preparing Relaunch

If you’ve been waiting to see the new Scrapblog, demo’d last month at the We Media Conference in Miami, you only have to wait another day or so. The site is offline, and users have been emailed to expect the new version soon.

This application hasn’t twittered yet, but it has a hardcore base of rabid users. That’s always a sign of good things down the road.

This should be interesting, looking forward to seeing the new editing tools and support for more sites.

i’m not a blogger - so maybe i don’t see the big picture

but isn’t a blog just essentially a personal website?

    Can you hear that?
That’s a thousand bored housewives all getting excited in anticipation…

Yeah, I think it could be a good one, but I’m getting to be less and less of a good judge. Twitter just boggles my mind, for example. I think I’m officially clueless and an old man at 34.

This is a pretty awesome app (I just saw the video from your other post on the site) - how can this not be huge? One interesting thing though - on the site with the video it says no direct competition. I think there is “perceived” competition on the blog side from… any blog platform (as per onlooker’s comment)… on the print side I know that Creative Memories offers a free desktop app that allows you to have a book printed.

I think this site will be huge, but wonder about a company saying there isn’t any competition :p

This is going to be huge. It really takes design online and Rich Internet Applications to another level. lol to Frank’s comment.
