Make Your Own iPhone (does not actually function)

A reader sent in the image below to “make your own iPhone.” Just print, cut & fold. Note, however: this does not actually function (heh).

If anyone has attribution for this, please let me know because I do not know who created it. Similar product is here.

I’m sure somebody is walking around with this pretending to have the new iPhone.

I think Gizmodo or Engadget had this on the day of release - they made silly videos showing what it can do :) Maybe this is the version for business Mike?

Here is a good example - these guys might have too much time:

BTW - if you want the ringtone (it does actually function), it’s here:

    It’s just like an iPod!
(I.e… it appears to have crashed)

On the pdf of the cut-out it points to these links:

Phew, I thought my RSS aggregator had crashed and I was viewing an article from 2 weeks ago. This came out a few hours after the keynote.

Timothy, iPod FUD is so 2003, along with the graffiti campaigns about its battery life, blah blah.

A more up to date meme is to bash Apple for being so tardy about releasing the 6th gen model. It’s been since October 2005 since the last rev.

Hopefully in the Superbowl spot: widescreen Beatles edition 6th gen iPod. Oh, lovely Rita.

Mike, since you’re looking for attribution, I think this site has the original.

From the countdown page the next click brings up a PDF. I linked to it Jan 10th when it was probably a day old..

  13. DrDoubt

Dont do this, if iPhone wins in the market, let it win because of the product and not bcos ppl like you build hype around it

On second thot, maybe they deserve the hype.

  14. Lucky

Yeah this is really old news. How did this happend? :P

I’d rather make my own Adreana Lima… Anyone got some of her DNA?

  17. Scott

Hahaha i didnt expect this. Sorry Mike. I wouldn’t post this on my website

  18. Neil Kelty

Why don’t people just refrain from responding, rather than pile on and beat a dead horse about how this was old news. If you found it before here then move onto the next link - there is no use making comments with the same point as those above.

I think they’ve been the first to post it
