We are sending a full team from CrunchGear to cover CES in Las Vegas Jan 8 -11. See a few teasers on some of the new gear being released at the monster electronics show: a new Hitatchi hybrid video recorder, bigger and better flat screen TVs, lots of white cell phones and new DVRs

It’ll be very interesting to see if either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD gain any real traction at this year’s CES. It just seems that Sony’s great white hope the PS3 is just becoming less and less compelling everyday. I never underestimate Sony’s abilities to pull something out of the hat but the whole next gen optical disc segment seems to be fairly average at the moment. Maybe at this show both camps will fire some big guns.

I’m not even going (again), but I’m so pumped. Moreso than I was for SEMA, which is a first.
