I understand this started happening last December and only a "small number" od people were affected. Well, here it is July and twice in the last couple of weeks I've lost virtually everything twice--each about a week apart.
Now I can't access my account because you say my password is incorrect--one I've been using ever since I started this account. I was finally able to get a new password but when I opened it up--after three days of being unable to access it at all all but one of my important messages were gone.
From December is a long, long time to have an unsolved problem. (I guess I've been fortunate that I've just been hit with this problem but nonetheless it is a real problem and inconvenience!) Where do I go from here? Do I just close down gmail and go to something else? I can't go on like this.

I just lost everything on my Gmail. It opens up again but with a new version of my account. They say I have the labs version, for which I don't recall signing up. I lost my current e-mails and all my folders in which I filed important info. I'm not sure this is where I complain. If not, how do I talk to the G-mail people? This is June, 2009.

Ok. So I followed the troubshoot Google help and removed all filters. Activated POP. Deactivated "imap".

Forwarding was never active.

Going to however activate forwarding just to check with my backup email, what email have gone missing again and what just skipped my gmail inbox completely.

Interesting. It seems Google has done it once again.

Close to ten of my emails are just missing. Vital information, that is completely gone. Google support is nowhere to be found.

I'm doing some searching on whether Yahoo mail also just dissapears like this. I think I need to port and just get them to up their mobile yahoo. Gmail on Mobile totally rules, but I'm sure yahoo should be able to macth it.

I'm furious that such information can just be gone and that since 2006, when missing emails were first posted, Gmail has done sweet NOTHING about address the issue.
