Greetings all, I’d like to take a moment from your otherwise ordinary Saturday to inform you about some exciting happenings at CrunchGear. For the past several weeks, CrunchGear has run a Reader Response contest series in order to show appreciation to our readers.
We’ve given away a lot of great prizes, like a Samsung Blackjack, 100 copies of M2 Convert and more. But that was just the beginning.
Yesterday we launched our biggest week yet, CrunchGear Reader Response 04: Festivus Week, with a prize being given away every weekday. The prizes are big and I’m sure many of you will want to participate.

At the beginning of the week, we haveo four 1GB Sandisk Cruzer flash drives (including two Micros and two Titaniums). These will be distributed on Mon – Thurs, one each day with the Micros being given away first and then the Titaniums.
In addition to the Cruzers, we have another little prize that might be of interest to one or two of you: a brand new Nikon D40 digital SLR camera kit. The kit includes the camera and a lens to get you started. It’s valued at $600 and it is one of the hottest gifts this holiday season. This will be given away on Friday, Dec. 22—just in time for Festivus.

To enter, all you have to do is participate. We’ll be looking at frequency of comments as well as quality of input. Comments are an ongoing process and we’ll look at participation for the entire week. When you comment, be sure to enter your email address in the comment form as that’s how we’ll be contacting winners. If you don’t enter your email, you won’t be considered.

Hello Blake,
How do we get a chance to win a prize? is there a forum to fill out.
thanks
Wayne
sounds great
@wayne:
i assume that all you need to do is input your email address and they will contact you via email if you win anything.
Just make insightful comments on CrunchGear over the next week. The most prolific commenters will win. And be sure to plug your email address into the appropriate spot when you enter your name to comment.
(just noticed a typo, it says the camera will be given away November 22 instead of December 22.)
can i win one of arringtons 3 zunes?
Hello is any out thier, I would like one of those zune too.
count me in….
fixed the date. sorry.
I’m looking for a DSLR this holiday season… I’m definitely going to participate in this.
btw – our reader appreciation contest is fairly straightforward – all you have to do is comment. The most (intelligent) comments at the end of the week wins the camera and the runners up are chosen based on their insight and number of comments that day.
ok
What’s the definition of intelligent and who defines intelligent….
We’re really just looking for comments that stimulate thought and conversation. So the answer is, we define intelligent, but it’s really not anything opaque.
still don’t get those animated characters. looks weird.
“(just noticed a typo, it says the camera will be given away November 22 instead of December 22.)”
Steve…my, you take this seriously (LOL)
Anyways…very nice…coming here has just gotten better.
“What’s the definition of intelligent and who defines intelligent….”
Yes – would love to clear this up before the hard work starts……

Truthfully…in all fairness…maybe its TechCrunch that deserves a present. I realtively new here…and new to the Web 2.0 phenomena in general but coming here on a daily basis (not to say that there aren’t some bad) makes me feel as if I am right in the centre…keep up the good work.
Although come to think of it some people prefer “milk and honey”….
The camera is the best i have ever used
I have been using the BlackJack for a month now (or so). Great phone. Downloaded (yes actually downloaded) Opera Mini and Windows Live and MobileSkype (2.2Beta). All work very well. Now I just need integrated or microSD WIFI and all will be well.
Thanks for the great writing, it keeps me coming back.
Those USB drives getting to be like old skool floppies except hard to label. How about the manufacturers come up with a way of labeling ‘em – or maybe scroll through the folders on a tiny little screen – or…
Whatta ya got?
not sure what to comment on at present…but will investigate further…more to come…
I understand why you think PayPerPost writers should disclose that they are writing a post with the motive of getting money. But do you think it might also be right that people who post to TechCrunch with extra frequency just to get the prize should also have to disclose their motive?
Posting to TechCrunch with extra frequency won’t win you anything in this particular contest. You have to post on CrunchGear to win.
Nice try though.
wow.
