It is better for Marshall to work for a company rather than freelance. In our space, once your reputation gets tainted - you cannot freelance effectively. He should have come clean on some of the articles he wrote and the favors he was doing to his friends. Here he has done it again - he writes about a company and then joins them soon after. Seems like it was planned approach or ther returned the big favor. Good luck to him anyway since everyone has to pay the bills!
